Context

Implement this MVP work package under M4 - Catalog Core, following the managed-storage decision in #1.

Acceptance criteria

  • Implement transactional repositories for logical models with multiple STL parts and supplementary images/documents.
  • Define service contracts used by importer, metadata and lifecycle operations; keep model and file identities separate.
  • Support explicit grouping/reassignment without guessing associations; test rollback and foreign-key integrity.

Blocked by: #14, #15, #18

Acceptance reconciliation at c1ef2ee: keeping open. Importer-facing repository is a starting point, not full acceptance. Need catalog-owned transaction contract, explicit grouping/reassignment preserving file identity, FK/rollback tests and shared metadata/lifecycle contracts. This is a source/test review, not a newly executed crash or restore experiment. Fresh Windows suite: 291 tests, 1801 assertions, 22 skips; lint passes. PostgreSQL fixture success does not waive these feature criteria.
