Establish the baseline repository layout and entry documentation.

Scope

  • Directory layout: src/, public/, db/migrations/, docker/, assets/, tests/
  • README: project summary, MVP scope, verified quick start when M1 completes, license
  • .gitignore covering vendor, node_modules, build output, local env files

Acceptance criteria

  • Directory skeleton committed with purposeful entry files; no nonfunctional application placeholders
  • README explains what MeshVault is and how to run it (links to M1)
  • .gitignore excludes dependency, build, and secret files

M0 scaffold implemented locally: meaningful directory READMEs, root README, expanded ignores, and complete AGPL-3.0-only license selected by owner. No fake runnable application; M1 quick start explicitly deferred. Foundation checks pass. Changes remain uncommitted, so this issue stays open pending commit/review.

M0 work committed locally on main as c6cb3cec89 (chore: establish M0 project foundations). Verified composer validate --strict, composer lint, composer test, composer audit and git diff --cached --check before commit. Documentation explicitly defers runtime application/Compose to M1; tests cover repository foundations only. Closing following owner approval. Commit has not been pushed.
