Context

Implement this MVP work package under M3 - Import & Indexing Engine, following the managed-storage decision in #1.

Acceptance criteria

  • Validate binary triangle counts and ASCII facet structure without relying solely on extension or solid prefix.
  • Accept binary headers beginning with solid; reject truncated or malformed meshes with actionable reasons and fixtures.
  • Allow supplementary images/documents under separate allowlists rather than applying STL validation to them.

Acceptance reconciliation at c1ef2ee: keeping open. STL validation has extensive tests; separate STL/image/document policies are not represented by the current combined extension allowlist. This is a source/test review, not a newly executed crash or restore experiment. Fresh Windows suite: 291 tests, 1801 assertions, 22 skips; lint passes. PostgreSQL fixture success does not waive these feature criteria.
