PLEX BACKUPS SALVAGE
====================

Conservative salvage tool for:

  Source: /Backups
  Source LV: /dev/mapper/plex--new-plex--new
  Destination: /mnt/recovery/Backups

Known-dead filesystem blocks:

  3418636288 - 4395389951

SCAN
----
No file data is copied.

  mkdir -p /mnt/plexbak
  mount -o ro LABEL=PLEXBAK /mnt/plexbak
  bash /mnt/plexbak/SCAN.SH

Results:

  /mnt/recovery/plex-backups-manifest.jsonl
  /mnt/recovery/plex-backups-scan-summary.txt

Files are classified SAFE, LOST, UNKNOWN, or OTHER.

RECOVER
-------
After reviewing the scan summary:

  bash /mnt/plexbak/RECOVER.SH

Only SAFE files are dumped. Each recovered file is written by inode to a
temporary path, checked against the inode byte size, then moved into the
reconstructed /Backups tree.

The recovery is restartable and leaves 2 GiB free on the USB recovery drive.

Results:

  /mnt/recovery/plex-backups-recovery.tsv
  /mnt/recovery/plex-backups-recovery-summary.txt

The damaged LV is never opened writable.
